This site is a memory of my working life as a software developer and technologist. It holds professional notes, interview prep, side projects, and the occasional thought from a technology or personal angle.
For recruiters
Thanks for stopping by. My resume is here: StevenAtkinsonResume.pdf. To say hello, message me on LinkedIn.
The role I'm looking for
- An early to growth-stage company (Series B to E) that needs an experienced engineer with strong, loosely held opinions and a pragmatic streak.
- Education or healthcare is a plus.
- Someone who can code, lead and mentor, and who thrives on a broad set of responsibilities.
- A team that trusts I can pick up its stack. Java, Kotlin, Python, JavaScript and C are in my past, but they don't dictate my future.
Please tell me up front
- The company's name, funding history and stage. It saves me some Crunchbase time.
- The founders' backgrounds.
- Where the team is based, and how it works: remote, hybrid or in an office.
- Why a technical leader would want to join for this role.
